Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr.
Councilman Anibal Ramos Jr. is running for mayor of Newark to continue the progress that began seven years ago when he joined the City Council. Councilman Ramos knows much more work is needed to make Newark a great city. He won’t rest until every neighborhood is safe, every child attends an excellent public school and every resident has access to economic opportunity.
Councilman Ramos has the leadership skills, proven legislative ability and census building approach to problem solving to make a better Newark and to continue the progress made by his predecessors. His years as a councilman, a school board president and as director of Essex County’s Department of Citizen Services and the Department of Economic Development give him the needed experience and understanding to solve complex problems and attract resources from many different agencies.
Newark is at a crossroads. For that reason, Anibal Ramos Jr. stepped up and decided to run for Mayor to build move Newark forward. He will be a mayor for all of Newark and will make public safety, education and stable taxes the center of his administration. Under Mayor Ramos, Newark will continue to make progress and strive to fulfill its promises to all its citizens.
